February already!!! How can that be?

 Winter has been kind to us so far. I know February can be kind of cruel sometimes! We still stay pretty close to home but yesterday we got a really cool treat.

Ginny gave us and Loren's sister tickets to the Beyond VanGogh show at the Convention Center. It was pretty amazing. I'll put in some pictures, but they don't do justice at all. If you have a chance, you should go.

As you begin to walk through, there are these large pictures that have some beautiful words about him. There are quite a few. You have a wide area, and everyone can be distancing with no problem.

In a very large room there were pictures fading in and out up on all the four walls and on other places in the room. Very cool.

I was mesmerized with all the colors and shapes and how they did the light show. Even on the floor you could see swirly images of water and sky. Really wonderful.

Back to a normal day today which includes adding more things to my Etsy shop. I am having a lot of fun putting French wool floss packets and wool square bunches and more fabrics and Valdani perle cotton.


I guess this is all the room they will let me use! I'll do another blog very soon to show what else I have added. I'd love to hear from you and know what you are doing. Thanks so much, Betty

    It would be great to have your Etsy link someone on your blog. I'm in Central Oregon adn it has been very mild. We'll see what February brings.

Camping in the Rain

 Hello Everyone,  We went camping at Barview Jetty a little while ago and it rained almost all the time we were there! On the way it was necessary to stop here at our favorite fish shop! Best shrimp, sauce, and clam chowder that we have found.  Excellent. We went there on the way to camp and on the way home. Even thought it rained so much, the clouds were spectacular. The sand had some cool patterns We had friends that camped next to us and we ate really well.  Some reading and stitching were also part of our days. A couple weeks ago we went to McIver park to camp. Again it rained almost the whole time we were there. Same friends kept us entertained and we continued with our eating really well. This is a reflection in the lake of the sun trying to come out. Mamma ducks and babies were enjoying the break in the rain. We have found out that our beloved Oscar has Prostate cancer and Cushings disease. It's a sad blow as we lost both our Silkies last year. We don't know how long we

Coming out of hibernation

 I decided it was time to bring my blog back to life. I thought about it for some time and decided it would be so nice to connect with friends again even if it's just with words. I have mostly enjoyed being at home and catching up with reading and sewing. My Etsy shop is doing well and I would like to share some of the things that are currently available.                                        I bought this tin in The Netherlands when I was recently there visiting my daughter and her family. They took me to a very cool old antique shop and they have Lots of tins. The shop had so many things that I would have liked to take home. But Not possible. This is another one!
