trip has arrived

Karen and I are in Groningen, The Netherlands.  We arrived Thursday April 23, took a train and then went to our boat where we are staying.

It is an old fishing boat and quite unique! Wifi didn't work and that wasn't great, but it was an adventure. We walked the town of Groningen and did some shopping,  of course. Today is Sunday and we will spend some time with Hugo's parents. Tomorrow is King's Day so we will celebrate 
his day. We also will leave for London Monday in the evening.

And Karen! We are having fun, but miss you all. That's about it for now. Will try to do another in a few days.

I heard the Blazers weren't doing so well. We will get them next year when all are healthy.

    Isn't it kind of great to have to go to Europe all the time to see your daughter and granddaughter! Enjoy your family and your adventures!!!

Camping in the Rain

 Hello Everyone,  We went camping at Barview Jetty a little while ago and it rained almost all the time we were there! On the way it was necessary to stop here at our favorite fish shop! Best shrimp, sauce, and clam chowder that we have found.  Excellent. We went there on the way to camp and on the way home. Even thought it rained so much, the clouds were spectacular. The sand had some cool patterns We had friends that camped next to us and we ate really well.  Some reading and stitching were also part of our days. A couple weeks ago we went to McIver park to camp. Again it rained almost the whole time we were there. Same friends kept us entertained and we continued with our eating really well. This is a reflection in the lake of the sun trying to come out. Mamma ducks and babies were enjoying the break in the rain. We have found out that our beloved Oscar has Prostate cancer and Cushings disease. It's a sad blow as we lost both our Silkies last year. We don't know how long we

Coming out of hibernation

 I decided it was time to bring my blog back to life. I thought about it for some time and decided it would be so nice to connect with friends again even if it's just with words. I have mostly enjoyed being at home and catching up with reading and sewing. My Etsy shop is doing well and I would like to share some of the things that are currently available.                                        I bought this tin in The Netherlands when I was recently there visiting my daughter and her family. They took me to a very cool old antique shop and they have Lots of tins. The shop had so many things that I would have liked to take home. But Not possible. This is another one!
