March Days

So many things have been happening. I know we all feel like life gets away from us sometimes. There are fun things to do and necessary things to do and then the family has events and then .....where has the stitching time gone!
I'm going to throw in some random events and happenings and see where it leads.

Some of our Henny Penny table mats.

The wool is wonderful to work with. Our next one on the list to make that is called Turkey Lurkey.  Look for it coming soon.

Among all this fun, our daughter Ginny had a birthday and we celebrated it at one of our favorite places to eat.

My family moved to Portland from The Dalles when I was in the 7th grade. My grandmother came to visit us and this was her favorite place to eat. When my girls came along it was my pleasure to introduce them to the delicious food, it always pleases and never disappoints. They consider it to be one of their favorites and we usually go there fairly often, but not often enough.

Here's Ginny and at Nature's Pet in Canby. Loren's sister, Eileen, opened this shop in the fall and it is doing really well. She has a wonderful groomer and Ginny comes in on Sat. to help her wash dogs. These two are hers and Darren's. Pippi and Sophie.  All groomed with bows.

Our Oscar was also visiting and he was more interested in what was in the "treat bins"! Yep, we had to take extra ones home that he had sampled.

About 3 weeks ago my granddaughter Sylvia, had her wisdom teeth removed, all 4. She came to rest up at our house and this is what she looked like.

Poor sweet girl. Even though she was in pain, she still looks beautiful to me. Much better now and Thursday she is singing a solo song during her Spring Choral Concert.

This week is a special birthday for my friend Karen. Saturday, her family gave her a surprise party.  Karen is in the middle and our friend Gloria is on the left. We have been friends for decades and walk most Tuesdays and Thursdays at Clackamas Mall. We have shared a lot of fun times and growing older is sweeter for the friendships.
