My favorite month

I know there are those who favor this month above all others! Nice days and cool evenings. Sweater weather. I love the leaves and all the acorns. We just returned from a camping trip to Eastern Oregon with two of our favorite Long time friends. Over by Burns we stayed two nights on our daughter and son-in-laws property. The darkness of the night gave us the most brilliant star show I've seen in a long time. In the morning the waves of geese and Cranes flying in to a nearby field was spectacular. It was amazingly quiet except for all the conversation going on with the geese.




Very cute tiny town...love the parking meter!!




We had a wonderful lunch at this hotel. If you haven't been......you should go.

Great museum with a very helpful host.


The last night of our trip was spent at Cottonwood Canyon camp ground. It was full so we parked in the parking lot. Still there was a lot to see and you can go down to the river where there are rocks to want and lovely dried old weeds.

Camping in the Rain

 Hello Everyone,  We went camping at Barview Jetty a little while ago and it rained almost all the time we were there! On the way it was necessary to stop here at our favorite fish shop! Best shrimp, sauce, and clam chowder that we have found.  Excellent. We went there on the way to camp and on the way home. Even thought it rained so much, the clouds were spectacular. The sand had some cool patterns We had friends that camped next to us and we ate really well.  Some reading and stitching were also part of our days. A couple weeks ago we went to McIver park to camp. Again it rained almost the whole time we were there. Same friends kept us entertained and we continued with our eating really well. This is a reflection in the lake of the sun trying to come out. Mamma ducks and babies were enjoying the break in the rain. We have found out that our beloved Oscar has Prostate cancer and Cushings disease. It's a sad blow as we lost both our Silkies last year. We don't know how long we

Coming out of hibernation

 I decided it was time to bring my blog back to life. I thought about it for some time and decided it would be so nice to connect with friends again even if it's just with words. I have mostly enjoyed being at home and catching up with reading and sewing. My Etsy shop is doing well and I would like to share some of the things that are currently available.                                        I bought this tin in The Netherlands when I was recently there visiting my daughter and her family. They took me to a very cool old antique shop and they have Lots of tins. The shop had so many things that I would have liked to take home. But Not possible. This is another one!
