I decided it was time to bring my blog back to life. I thought about it for some time and decided it would be so nice to connect with friends again even if it's just with words. I have mostly enjoyed being at home and catching up with reading and sewing. My Etsy shop is doing well and I would like to share some of the things that are currently available.                                        I bought this tin in The Netherlands when I was recently there visiting my daughter and her family. They took me to a very cool old antique shop and they have Lots of tins. The shop had so many things that I would have liked to take home. But Not possible. This is another one! It's been fun finding things to put in the sewing boxes. They are listed in my Etsy shop thequiltingbshop.Etsy.com There are lots of size 12 Valdani Thread available too. Hello Everyone Are you getting used to staying home and doing things to keep yourself busy? I don't mind most of the time. I have plenty of projects to keep me busy. Here are a few pictures of our backyard that has been getting some needed attention. The first two pictures are of a tree and a bush that I used for making dye to use on some fabric. The middle pictures show a little of the tree and our Little House for my Dutch kids to stay in when they are here.  Of course the first picture has our Privy! We are watching all of the Harry Potter movies! Sewing is good. I am actually finishing a few things. Enough.  I have a friend, Beverly Smith. We sew together in a group once a month and we take turns hosting. Last month we met at Beverly's beautiful home. I have never known anyone who decorates for every holiday as wonderfully as Bev. I asked her to answer a few questions so we could know her better and I took a Lot of pictures to share. My pictures are not nearly as good as her decorating. When did you start Quilting? When I was 14, a friend of the family was a quilter, that is when I knew I wanted to learn quilting someday. About 40 years ago I took a beginning quilting class at a local quilt store. Learning to cut out shapes, making blocks and finishing a quilt....
